there's something about the way, the streets look when it's just rained
need to be:
1. thankful (of the small things, and the people that do them)
2. forgiving
3. less controlling
4. less overthinking (the world does not revolve around me, okay, now repeat)
5. more trusting in fate
so, what? think more of the bigger picture, and the consequences in the future, instead of the present. it's tempting to jump back on the bandwagon and go for another joyride but i need to stay grounded. not let people who don't matter affect me, stand upright with my head held high because i know i'm doing the right thing.
and maybe one day when they realize that i have, it'll be okay again.

cny in a week, it's the first without my grandparents and the yearly traditions i took for granted, but i'm so glad my aunt took on the task of making cashew nuts (my grandpa used to do this) for the entire family :) it's my favourite :)
there's something that i've learnt over the past year, watching my family piece each other back into wholes after 2 people we love dearly passed away; and that's to keep trying. keep trying to make time for each other, keep trying to be there for each other and fill up the empty spaces left behind in our hearts. (ok excuse this but) it kind of reminds of me of collateral circulations from anastamoses in our body; when a route closes, we adapt and find another way to fill our souls.

ALSO, constantly amazed that my orientees when i was an OGL in NJ for 3 years (i went through 5 orientations cause nj has 2 orientations each year - one for sec 1 and one for j1) REMEMBER MEEEEEE. even though they were sec 1 when i took them and are j1/j2 now.
cause my sister is aerius house captain, so when they know her, they ask abt meeee. rly am q touched :")))) must have been quite a good OGL then hehe.
i also find it quite cool that my orientees are my sis's friends/seniors/juniors :D the world's small :) or rather, nj is puny hahaha.
